Friends and co-founders Nikki Campbell and Sophie Coote launched SIR when they were just 24 to fill the gaps in their own wardrobes. They share a love of 1970s style codes – muses include Françoise Hardy and Pat Cleveland – which influence each of their collections. The resulting pieces include ruffled dresses and floaty separates that convey an undeniably feminine mood and are reworked from season to season. The label’s name is an acronym for ‘separates’, ‘intimates’ and ‘ready-to-wear’ and the offering reflects the laid-back feel of the designers’ Bondi Beach base.
