Ichendorf Milano Kokeshi Small Bottle. The iconic form of the Japanese Kokeshi dolls inspired Italian designer Denis Guidone’s collection of glass and cork tabletop accessories. These traditional wooden collectibles are characterized by their simple and essential trunk-like bodies that are topped with a decidedly enlarged head. United in their shape, each doll features a distinct personality which is conveyed through a few simple and thin paint strokes on the face. Just like the dolls, Guidone’s collection is united in material and silhouette but differ in size, shape, and function. In the Kokeshi Oil Bottle, a slender borosilicate glass vessel references the doll’s body while a bulbous cork stopper references the enlarged head. The cork stopper accommodates each of the two included glass pourers to use with oils. Designed for Ichendorf Milano, the bottles are the result of nearly a century of research and advancements in the company’s glassmaking facility. With the Kokeshi Oil Bottle, function and whimsy mix, bringing personality to the tabletop.
