Dévé Nouveau Réalisme Necklace

Nouveau Réalisme is thoughtfully crafted in 18k gold vermeil, inset with lapis lazuli. The pendant, measuring 28mm across and 8mm thick, inset with a lapis stone measuring 22mm across, is elegantly balanced upon a 50cm long and 1mm thick box chain. Please note, all stones are natural gemstones and will present variations in colour and pattern.

Working in monochromatic ultramarine, Klein sought to appropriate images of reality, namely the sky and sea, to evoke the infinite and immaterial. Set with lapis lazuli, flat on one side and three-dimensional on the other, the Nouveau Réalisme pendant draws upon ancient associations of Lapis’ depth with that of a midnight sky.
